Peter Camps from the Heineken National On Premise Draft Team was here at One Under in Livonia to show us about the great brewing tradition behind Heineken, and how to do a Heineken ”Perfect Pour”.
Here is a Heineken “Perfect Pour”
Step 1
CLEAN GLASS! The most important part of pouring any draft beer.
Step 2
Shake out all the water and make sure it’s clean.
Step 3
Open tilt the glass at a 40 degree angle and open the faucet all the way! Don’t be shy.
Step 4
When the beer is about 1/2″ from the top of the glass, tip it back upright and close the faucet. Let a little bit of beer spill over. Then take a flat edge knife, like a butter knife and skim the top of the beer to remove the very top lift of foam. As you flick it away, it will release the last bit of hops in the beer and give the it a nice full flavor, not bitter.
Step 5
Serve your Heineken Proudly! Cheers!
