Last week we kicked off the return of Infinium at Sam Adams where they celebrated with a special pre-release tasting event at the brewery. This is just the second year the beer has been available – but this year, there was a twist. They invited three local mixologists to design and serve their signature Infinium

Michelada Beer Cocktail

Take a trip south of the border with the Michelada* beer cocktail. It’s a beer with a spicy kick and refreshing dash of lime.

Here’s how you make it:

Ingredients 1 lager (a craft beer is recommended) 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce 1/2 tablespoon

Saugie Bomb (Saugatuck Porter Irish Car Bomb)

¾ Pint of Saugatuck Porter 1/2 shot Bailey’s Irish crea 1/2 shot Jameson Irish whiskey

Directions: Add the Bailey’s and Jameson to a shot glass, layering the Bailey’s on the bottom. Pour the Saugatuck Porter into a pint glass or beer mug 3/4 of the way full and let settle. Drop the shot glass

Beer Margarita recipe

6oz can Frozen Limeade concentrate 12oz bottle Corona or Corona Lt. 6oz Vodka 6oz Water

In a large pitcher mix the Corona and limeade mixture (follow the directions on the frozen limeade except substitute one can of water with one can of vodka – cheap is fine). Serve in frosted mugs with ice.
